The
Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector
(ICD), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group,
is a full-fledged multilateral financial institution based in
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. ICD's authorised capital amounts to US$
1 billion and its subscribed capital is US$ 500 million. Operating
according to the Shari'a principles, ICD aims at promoting and
developing the private sector in its member countries.
In
order to reinforce its team of highly competent professionals,

Director, Corporate Support Department (Ref: ICD/CSD/2201):
The
selected candidate is expected to Plan, lead and co-ordinate
the Corporate Support function of the institution which consists
of human resources, the information technology, the administrative
services and the Board secretariat functions. He is expected
to develop and implement the corporate support strategy as part
of the ICD's overall strategy. Oversee and direct the Support
Services function to ensure that timely cost effective, high
quality services are provided to support core ICD operations;
Oversee and direct the Library function to fulfil the information
requirements of ICD staff, keeping them abreast with the new
trends in economics and related subjects, facilitating their
research work, and building up a complete set of ICD member
countries information profiles
Applicants
must have an MBA or any other technical equivalent degree with
a minimum 10 years experience including a proven track record
of senior management in a similarly complex organisation and
must have good report writing and analytical skills. Fluency
in Arabic and English is a must, knowledge of French is an advantage.

Director,
Legal Department (Ref: ICD/LD/2302):
The
selected candidate is expected to provide professional legal
advice to corporate and senior management regarding all aspects
of applicable business law and legislation in order to protect
the rights of the corporation. He is expected to contribute
toward the formulation and implementation of overall business
strategies and plans which enable the achievement of the corporation
mission and objectives; ensure the effective achievement of
Corporate Legal functional objectives; direct the development
and oversee the implementation across all business units of
a legal philosophy and operational policies; define an optimum
organization structure for the Corporate Legal function; provide
professional advice and support to all levels of the business
on the full range of legal and compliance issues; direct all
legal activity to ensure that personnel adhere to legal policies
and procedures; analyze the legal Implications and investigate
the change.
Candidates
must have minimum 10-15 years legal management experiences in
a corporate environment (preferably in an Islamic financing
institution); experience of developing and implementing legal
compliance frameworks in a corporate environment; excellent
working knowledge of shariaa principals, project finance, trade
finance and Islamic Banking; excellent communication skills
in 2 of the working languages (Arabic, English and French) .
Third language is an advantage. Candidates must be a law graduate
from a recognized university. Post graduate qualification such
as Masters or PhD, is highly desirable. Substantial "hands-on"
experience in drafting agreements. Substantial experience and
success in working and negotiating with international customers;
Superior advocacy skills, including the ability to effectively
and efficiently communicate in writing and orally, an aptitude
for practical negotiation, the capability to think clearly and
quickly under pressure, and the composure to satisfy multiple
and often competing interests; a strong commitment to integrity
and professionalism; a work history that affirmatively demonstrates
leadership and ability to persuade and push others to deliver
on commitment; superior negotiating skills and ability to work
in complex international environment, substantial experience
working in different cultures and an open and tolerant mind

a well-developed sense of humor.

Deputy
Director, Investment Operation Department (Ref: ICD/IOD/2301)::
The
selected candidate is expected to support the Director of the
Investment Operations Department (IOD) and to provide assistance
in distributing, monitoring and controlling the department's
work, supervising the professional staff in accomplishing their
work, ensuring the adoption of quality assurance during the
financing proposals appraisals, undertaking periodic review
of the IOD activities, identifying areas of investment and making
recommendations about financing and formulating financing programs.
In addition to the preparation of short and medium-term plans
and programs, such as the annual business plan, the administrative
budget and the mission programs. Candidate should have a proven
and strong networking with key business figures and financial
institutions and most importantly outstanding interpersonal,
negotiating and communication skills. Applicants must have a
masters in Business Administration (MBA) or engineering degree
with minimum 10 years of experience in appraising projects including
a proven track record of senior management. Good report writing,
presentation and analytical skills. Proven proficiency in English,
Arabic and French.

Division
Chief, Resource Mobilization (Ref: ICD/PMD/2505):
The
selected candidate will be supervising this Division which is
responsible for evaluating financing/ investment proposals;
structuring Shari'a compliant transactions; liaising with the
Investment Operations Department of ICD and other Islamic financial
institutions to arrange syndications; managing relationships
with Islamic financial institutions; Structuring the issuance
of sukuks for both ICD and its clients. The applicants must
have MBA or master degree in finance or international finance
from a recognised university with a minimum 10 years of experience
in the field preferably in an Islamic financial institution.
Fluency in Arabic and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.

Division
Chief, Financial Services & Capital Markets (Ref.: ICD/PMD/2703):
The
candidate is expected to assist in setting up this new division
that has recently been created by ICD. The Division will appraise
the Corporation's equity investments in financial institutions
and provide financial advisory services to private sector companies
operating in ICD member countries. The Division is also expected
to follow up the financial markets of both member and non-member
countries and to help establish and promote Islamic Capital
Markets in the member countries. Applicants must be graduates
in a related field, with a post-graduate degree in finance and
a minimum of 10 years experience working for an investment bank
or an international financial consultancy firm. They should
have a practical experience of the various financial instruments
available on the national and international capital markets,
bearing in mind that not all instruments are Shari'a compatible.
Fluency in Arabic and English is a must, knowledge of French
is an advantage.

Project
Follow-up Officer (Ref.: ICD/PMF/2301):
The
Project Follow-up Officer is expected to follow up and monitor
the different investment projects (term financing, equity, etc.)
from the date agreements are declared effective till final closure;
monitor and review the clients' financial situation to ensure
adherence to the required covenants; review and process the
disbursement requests, insure compliance with the signed agreements,
prepare final clients' payment schedules and monitor compliance
in payments to schedules. The Project Follow-up Officer should
know how to open and process LCs. Applicants must have a B.Sc.
degree in Banking or Finance , preferably with an MBA degree,
with at least 5 years' experience in the same field and must
have good report writing and analytical skills. Fluency in English
is a must, knowledge of Arabic and French is an advantage.

Portfolio
Management Officer (Ref.: ICD/PMF/2602):
The
Portfolio Management Officer is expected to manage and market
funds to Islamic financial institutions, independently evaluate
financing / investment proposals and administrate ICD's portfolio.
The applicants are expected to monitor the performance of ICD's
equity portfolio; liaise with the Investment Department to finance
and arrange syndication; create new Funds and manage relationships
with Islamic financial institutions; securitization of ICD's
and other financial institutions' portfolio. Candidates must
be graduates in Finance or International Finance from a recognized
university with a minimum of 5 years experience in the field
(preferably with a post-graduate degree in finance or an MBA)
and have good report writing and analytical skills. Fluency
in English is a must, Arabic or French is an advantage.

Lawyer
(Ref.: ICD/Law/2604):
The
Lawyer will be responsible for rendering legal opinion, drafting
and reviewing contracts and agreements, and initiating and following
up legal actions relating to all aspects of the management and
operations of the Corporation. Must have a first degree and
a Master's in law from a reputable university. Good working
knowledge of Corporate and banking laws, project financing activities,
equity investment, international commercial transactions, legal
notes. Minimum of 5 years of legal practices in an international
environment relating to investment financing (preferably Islamic
financing modes). Fluency in Arabic and English; knowledge of
French is an advantage. Computer and office automation literacy.

Investment
Officers (Ref.: ICD/Inv/2501):
The
Investment Officers are expected to analyse and appraise project
financing proposals, participate in negotiations with clients
and in the marketing of ICD's financial products and services
in the member countries. They are also expected to build and
maintain relationships with project sponsors and other financial
institutions. Candidates must be graduates in a related field
(preferably with a post-graduate degree in finance or an MBA)
and have good report writing and analytical skills. A minimum
experience of 5 years in the field of expertise is required,
preferably with an international/regional financial institution.
Fluency in Arabic and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.

Resource
Mobilization Officer (Ref.: ICD/FIN/2704):
The
selected candidate is expected to raise funds in the Financial
markets through a Sharia'a compliant fixed income and or equity
instrument. The Officer will report to Finance Director. The
main responsibilities are: Capital raising through Islamic Fixed
Income Securities; Equity offering of ICD Shares; Securitization
of ICD assets; Participation and origination of in syndications;
Building a network with similar institutions in the area of
Resource Mobilization; Liaise with banks and financial institutions;
Any other duties that may be assigned to him. The applicant
must have excellent skills in written and oral communication;
ability to work independently with minimal supervision: strong
organizational, research, and computer skills; a Masters degree
in an Finance or related discipline; a thorough understanding
of capital market and or Treasury, Preference will be given
to candidates with experience in Corporate Finance, and appropriate
professional certification. Fluency in Arabic and English; knowledge
of French is an advantage.

Financial Services & Capital Markets (Ref.: ICD/PMD/2701):
The
selected candidate is expected to appraise the Corporation's
proposed equity investments in financial institutions and provide
financial advisory services to private sector companies operating
in ICD member countries; follow up the financial markets of
both member and non-member countries and help in establishing
and promoting Islamic capital markets and products in the member
countries. Applicants must have a post-graduate degree in finance
and a minimum of 3-5 years experience working for an investment
bank or an international financial consultancy firm. Fluency
in Arabic and English is a must, knowledge of French is an advantage.

Assistant
Record Management Officer (Ref: ICD/CSD/2509):
The
candidate is expected to prepare and organise contents of the
files according to the department's procedures; maintain the
files according to the prescribed retention schedules; send
and retrieve files from the Records Centre according to the
ICD procedures; co-ordinate the microfilming of old records
with the Microfilm Unit and to handle the requests for retrieving
such records; participate in automating and converting the paper
files into electronic format either by typing or scanning; handle
the enquires, perform all inventory control duties related to
filing such as checking out and updating filing lists and directories;
maintain updated lists of available files and provide them to
concerned staff in the department. Applicants must have a diploma
in secretariat with minimum eight years experience in maintaining
files or any higher related degree; B.A. language, information
systems; with minimum four years experience in maintaining files.
Practical knowledge in preparing documents and tables using
latest Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Ability to use electronic-mailing
systems. A minimum typing speed of 40 words/minute in both Arabic/English.
Spoken and written command of both English and Arabic.

(Ref: ICD/CSD/2802):
The
candidate is expected to supervise, co-ordinate and approve
the compilation of documents published by the ICD to ensure
that high standards of information and presentation are achieved
in publicising the work of the ICD; Receive and review articles,
press releases and documents published by the IDB to ensure
the high quality of all materials.. Provide advice and guidance
as required to press officers and journalists to ensure that
their work is of a high standard. Co-ordinate the production
of ad hoc and periodical documents prepared by the Bank to ensure
that they are produced to time and quality standards. Applicants
must be graduates in journalism and a minimum of 7 years experience
working. Fluency in Arabic and English is a must, knowledge
of French is an advantage.
